Adult Ministries

Lake Ann UMC tends to be a place where people like to be together.  We do our best to work hard for the kingdom, but we also like to play!  Many of our adults are part of our network of small groups, called "Growth Groups."  Our hope is that everyone interested can take part in one of these groups for study and fellowship.  Most of the Growth Groups meet twice a month and often meet in homes.  Growth Groups study the Bible while also engaging their lives in prayer together.  Some groups do things socially as well.  Without a doubt, there is a growth group available for you.  If you are interested please contact the church office at 231-275-7236.

Men's Breakfast meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month.  The Men's group meets for a wonderful time of breakfast and discussion usually focused around a Bible study.  In addition, the United Methodist Men's group meets for some outdoor activities and a yearly retreat.  Men of all ages are invited!

United Methodist Women and M & M Group  The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of woman whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through the global ministries of the church. Whether you bake something for our bazaar/craft sale, make or donate something for the sale, help at a funeral lunch or fund raising meal, or remember our work in your prayers, you are one of us- United Methodist Women! The M&M group meets on the 4th Saturday of each month at 9 am for breakfast and devotions in our fellowship hall.  Often the group then splits into two as some of the women stay and craft (quilts, sewing, etc) and others go outside for a hike or snowshoe.  Women of all ages are invited!  For more information please call the church office.

Monday Morning Bible Study & Fellowship meets throughout the year.  The group gathers around 10am on Monday mornings in our Fellowship Hall and studies various books in the Bible.  Thus far we have studied Hebrews, Ezekiel, Collossians, James, and Jonah!  This is a no-homework discussion based time of learning often colored with laughter and lots of prayer!
